IS THIS ALL THERE IS?

GIFs and NFT’s

Gifs are the current way we share complex emotions on chats, they have become a surrogate of expressions. I wanted to create my own set of performative gifs. Is this all there is are a series of digital moving images experimenting and exploring the gif as a micro-short flash narrative form. In each gif image, typography and movement, all found digital detritus, are assembled to tell a different story with the same phrase. The question: Is this all there is? placed against the background of the universe, becomes one of existential anguish, but if placed over an image of our planet with meme-like type becomes an image seemingly taken from alien conspiracy forums. The gifs were also created to parody of the NFT craze of 2020. I minted them all as NFT’s, but also made them available freely online.
